The Theatre

Rangmandap is a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to the development and promotion of theatre and the performing arts. Conceived as an intimate space, Rangmandap is a platform for creators to experiment with their art and for audiences to engage with performances that connect. Set to feature two thoughtfully designed performance spaces — a classic proscenium stage and a flexible black box theatre — Rangmandap offers both structure and freedom. rangBhas, our 200-seat proscenium theatre, offers an intimate experience, bringing audiences close to the stage while preserving the structure of traditional theatre. With well-designed acoustics, and finely tuned sound & lighting, it adds both clarity and charm to every performance.

Together, Bhasrang and the Black Box support a wide range of performance styles — from scripted drama and devised works to movement pieces, readings, and cross-disciplinary explorations.
